IMPORTANT UPDATE ON PVSA:
⚠️ Important Update: PVSA Program Paused by AmeriCorps
As of May 27, 2025, AmeriCorps has placed the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) program on a pause. Certifying Organizations were not notified in advance of this decision.
While we are unable to place award orders during this pause, we want to assure families that we are still closing out our current 2024-25 PVSA service year as planned. We have processed all eligible volunteer hours to ensure we are fully prepared to apply for awards should the program resume.
Due to the current pause on the national program by AmeriCorps, we are not sure if/when we can process any awards. We do not yet know how long the pause will last or what parameters may be in place should the PVSA program resume. We are awaiting further guidance from AmeriCorps and Points of Light and will communicate updates to volunteers as we receive them via newsletters and our webpage.
In the meantime, please continue to maintain personal documentation of these service hours as it is our sincere hope to resume our programming in a similar capacity should the pause be lifted.
💡 What Happens Next?
We cannot place new orders until AmeriCorps resumes PVSA operations.
We are committed to recognizing every eligible youth’s contributions should the program reopen.
