What we promise:
At Volunteer Collective, we connect you with volunteering opportunities that turn compassion into action.
Ever wondered where you can help—or whether your time will really make a difference? Our promise is to answer those questions by connecting you with meaningful opportunities where your contribution matters.
Join us in shaping a future we can all be proud of.
Compassionate LA: Hunger has no place here.
As Los Angeles prepares to welcome the world for the 2028 Olympics, our greatest legacy won't be measured in medals—it will be measured by how we care for one another.
Our signature campaign invites you to help make Los Angeles known as the City of Compassion by supporting neighbors experiencing hunger.
You are likely aware of food pantries and how to participate. Do you know about gleaning, meal preparation, neighborhood food collections, community gardens, or community refrigerators?
Our Compassionate LA webpage will let you know about these options. Does one jump out to you as something that you would want to try? Then click on the heading, and you will be taken to a listing of nonprofits that offer that option.
Together, we can make it easier for every Angeleno to lend a hand—and help make compassion part of Los Angeles' Olympic legacy.

Since 2020, Volunteer Collective has led more than 50 campaigns, making a difference in the lives of tens of thousands of neighbors across Los Angeles.
Whether you're organizing a neighborhood food collection, tending a community garden, serving at a food pantry, caring for a community refrigerator, mentoring a student, or helping create pathways to housing for people experiencing homelessness, every act of service matters.
We believe that each of us has the power to make a meaningful difference—and that together, those individual acts of compassion can transform our city.
Vision Statement
What would our city look like? What would it feel like, if everyone did a little something, sharing responsibility, helping our neighbors in need?
